A day of two halves

Matt, Ben and I started our day in the Ogwen Valley in the sunshine. We spent the morning looking at placing gear, building and equalising belays, climbing short pitches and got the body leading a route for themselves on Diff ground in big boots. Then the rain came! We ran away round to Llanberis hoping to find better weather there but had to make do with tree cover in the quarries to provide shelter whilst we looked at the skills involved in abseiling as part of mountaineering routes. A great day and my gear is now steaming in the evening sunshine!
